Biography

Vira Ustianska is an Ukrainian artist and an art teacher, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2013.

She got a master's degree of painting in 2015 at Kharkiv State Academy of design and Art, where she studied at the portrait-genre workshop under the guidance of professors Victor Chaus and Vasily Ganotskiy.

In 2016 she was a curator of the Drawing Studio at the National Union of Artists of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhya. In 2017 she opened studio of academic painting ''V-ART''. 2018-2019 She worked in College and taught students painting, drawing, plastic anatomy, coloring, composition. In 2021 she took part in the International competition “The best Artist” and she received the honor award of Art.

In 2020 she started to work of project “1000 Sunflowers”. In December 2020 She opened Solo exhibition “Sunflowers by Vira Ustianska” in Zaporizhian National Art Museum. 

Paintings by Vira Ustianska are in Zaporizhzhia National art museum, Kharkiv National art museum, Shargorod National Art museum and in private collections of Ukraine, Poland, USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, Spain, Lithuania, Rumania, Taiwan, China and Russia. Vira Ustianska varied in different genres such as still life, landscape, portrait and figurative. Painting by Vira Ustianska contains a special energy. She connects techniques of classical painting and new composition. 

Due the war she was evacuated to the USA, where she entered local, regional and National artist and business Associations and continued to be a prolific artist in the USA. Vira Ustianska is a member of the Union of Artists in Ukraine, American Impressionist Society, California Art Club, Art Guild of the San Diego Museum of Art and Oil painters of America and East County Art Association.
