Artist

Biography

Working daily in a highly technical field of electronics, I enjoy redirecting my energies into less rigid art formats. I am qualified in Forensic Facial Reconstruction and find the human face and form the most extensive pallet imaginable. Sculpture is my primary art form, mostly incorporating the human face, figure, or an abstraction thereof. In my abstractions I attempt to leave a thread back to what connects us as humans: our emotions, our humor, our loves, our lives, our history, our potential.

Reflecting back on great artists, I like to combine their energies into my own thoughts and work. Within my “Lunch with Rodin” (LWR) series, the artists’ elements I use are those which tell me who they were and how history remembers them. I see Miro as dots, dashes and splashes of color; Nike as a figure of strength, the potential of which was offered to mankind. Each piece tells a brief story leading to a larger one.

My sculptures are produced in bronze, cast glass or cast stone. Each of these mediums in conjunction with the sculpture can elicit responses of strength, delicacy, refinement, durability and more. Together they form their own “new” history.
