I began drawing and painting while growing up in an historic neighborhood in Reading, MA. I painted the historic homes in my neighborhood, and sold my first painting at age 9. I was hooked on art after winning a nationwide competition at age 10, and was awarded with an art school summer scholarship in Boston. I was fascinated with both the historic art I saw in Bostons museums, as well as the photo realistic work of contemporary artists. I later worked my way through college while at Nixdorf Computer, a German based company, I travelled extensively on business throughout Europe, and fell in love with the architecture of the cities and villages of France, Italy and England. In my limited spare time, I painted European city scenes. After being transferred to California, I went to work for 3Com corporation, but never lost my passion for art. I graduated from the College of Art in Oakland and earned teaching credentials in art from .st Mary’s, Moraga, CA. I now paint and teach art full time, and have a studio/gallery in Danville, CA.
