Biography

Pat Kelly is a California native. Born in La Jolla, Pat attended UCSD and received Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Art. After graduation she settled down in the Ramona, a small town in the San Diego backcountry. Pat and her husband live near the farm that his family homesteaded in 1908. Passionate about still life painting, Pat finds her inspiration close by. Changing seasons provide fruit from the orchard and flowers in the garden, together with the simplicity of daily life, inform her vision and her work.
Pat's work has been featured in Western Horseman and American Artist Magazine. She has exhibited in the CAC Gold Medal Exhibition, Salon International, Oil Painters of America, Trappings of the American West and the Mountain Oyster Club.
Pat teaches plein air and still life painting at the Athenaeum Art and Music Library in La Jolla, and workshops at The Art Center in Ramona.
