Biography

Barbara moved from southern California to Arizona in 1994 with her husband and two daughters. She joined the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society in 2002. She was hooked! After years of following trails, participating in workshops and picking bugs off her panel, Barbara continued the pursuit of plein air painting. Even in the studio, Barbara works with still life subjects over photographs.

Barbara's works are very expressive with color and texture. She uses pallet knives. "I like to use the pallet knife. It is kind of like sculpting with paint!" Barbara teaches oil painting classes and workshops.
