Biography

“My purpose is to capture the natural beauty of everyday life and record a moment in time.”

I paint lively and colorful snapshots of life, inviting the viewer to speculate about the story
being depicted and suggesting the incredible diversity of our world. My work usually
consists of figures and urban landscapes, but regardless of the subject or genre I choose,
light is always the strongest element in my paintings. My visual approach reveals an interplay with shadow or reflections in relation to vibrant color. I work with a spontaneous and energized hand, applying loose brush strokes of paint on a bright orange toned canvas, leaving the under painting filter throughout the scene and giving the finished piece a distinctive glow.

I am a French artist, who became a fine art painter shortly after I moved to the United States. I was greatly influenced by my new environment, as well as California impressionist artists. Formerly a graphic designer, I completed my master degree in Art at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in France. I am a recognized award-winning artist, member of the California Art Club and the National Society of Painters in Acrylic. My work has been selected for several solo shows, received numerous awards and has been published in several books and magazines in France and in the United States, including The Artist Magazine and Southwest Art. I currently have a studio in Irvine, California.
