Biography

“I am inspired to paint the beauty and diversity of this amazing landscape. I strive to capture the color of the sunset or the reflection and shimmer on the water and the feeling I have as I stand in light absorbing its warmth and color. It is all about the light. As I paint, I experience the light so every shape, color, pattern and mark is connected. I give this energy to each painting so others might experience the feeling of light as well. -Karrie Baldwin

Karrie received a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Utah in 2003. She travels and participates in plein air events and juried exhibitions in the US and Costa Rica.

Her impressionist paintings focus on light, contrast and color, they are sensitive, yet express the energy and sense of place.
